I had intentions of updating this place on the regular. And here we are, like a year or more since my last post. I really do need to change that. I’m still doing pretty much what I was back then. Although some minor things have changed. I put a pause on school for a bit, WGU just wasn’t clicking with me. Outdated material, bare bones if present collaboration tools, it just wasn’t making for a good experience. I have a former co-worker going to SNHU that says it’s much better, and more fun. So I think I’m going to get into a cohort there starting in a couple of months.

Well, it certainly has been a while since I have posted. A lot has changed recently, and very quickly at that. Second Term of school has started. Nothing really major here, General Education courses for the most part. It’s going well overall, if a little slower than I expected due to other life events. Which brings me to…

Coming up on March 1st really quick. I have all the pre-requisites completed aside from one. Which is A meeting with my Program Mentor. Missed his call due to a phone setting and had to reschedule. It’s no big deal, didn’t delay my start or anything.

It’s official! I’m cleared to start on March 1st 2023.

Found a nice and simple plugin for making blog posts with a jekyll based blog. Should make things a little easier. It’s the little things, configuring the post template being the most annoying. This should work though.

Almost everything should be up and running. Social Media links should be working. Discqus comments are integrated. And the About page is updated.

I’ve even got everthing on my main github profile updated!

More to come as I get the Admissions process completed and start getting the computer ready for the adventure.

Oh! and I have to find a good blog plugin for neovim and or VS Code. But that shouldn’t be to difficult.

This blog is being setup mainly as sort of living notebook. I’ve recently enrolled for a Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering. My hope is that this blog will help chronical my journey, but also offer something toward a portfolio down the road.

I mean, I will eventually add a portfolio section here. But I think the blog itself might add a little extra something on top of that when the time comes.

Clearing the previous portfolio project out of here and converting to a jekyll based blog for the duration of my Bachelors Degree.
